These decals are 1:1 replicas to the original Judge Dredd – Mega-City One Land Rover Cabs !

We are restoring one of the original cabs from the film and part of this process is recreating the decals, we’ve had two trips , one trip to birmingham and another to manchester to measure up decals and accurately recreate the decals needed for the project, part of this process is checking out colours and finishes, the original decals for the film had been produced on a thermal foil printer so we set out on the task to find one of these 45 year old thermal printing machines to recreate as best we could the cab decals.

These are a gloss finished decal rather than matt which we understand was the finish on screen and have done a couple of sets to raise funds for the project. This is our version 1 which hasn’t recreated the overlapping errors on the 23% decals which were on the screen used ones, this was done by printing the black first then the yellow, rather than yellow first and the black layer hiding the yellow overlap bleed.

This is the first set and currently working on more of the decals but this takes time to get the artwork drawn up.
